Malta is a vibrant country with many trendy and modern recreational opportunities for young learners to enjoy. English is Malta’s official language in addition to Maltese while the weather is warmer than other north European destinations, making Malta an ideal destination to improve, practice and learn English.
NSTS is the oldest and the most reputable school in Malta with over 45 years of academic experience. As our friendly teachers use communicative teaching methodology, you will role-play, listen to songs, play language games, do research, interviews, field-work and projects, and practice English in class and in many real English-speaking situations outside the classroom. The course consists of 20 lessons of 45 minutes each per week in international classes of maximum 15 students.
NSTS is the island’s academic leader in providing young students with a great language and leisure experience. Its Vacation Courses for juniors and teenagers combine effective communicative teaching with the young spirit of action and fun. These are open to individuals and groups alike.
JUNIOR CAMP FOR AGES 8 – 12 YEARS
This highly specialised programme for children includes 24-hour camp supervision with purposely dedicated leisure activities and an interactive english syllabus of games to play.
JUST TEENS FOR AGES 13 – 15 YEARS
The interactive English lessons are designed to be fun so as to grasp the teen students’ attention and make classes motivational and challenging with outdoor activities held throughout the entire week.
YOUTH CLUB FOR AGES 16 - 17 YEARS
The older teenage group joins the JUST TEENS on their interactive English lessons and participate in a programme of ten afternoon and evening activities, leaving freetime for individual enjoyments.
THE NSTS INTERACTIVE LESSONS
Students are encouraged to speak the language in real contexts so that they gain the much needed confidence in themselves. One English lesson day per week is devoted to “out-of-class-action” whereby the external site prompts the students into action. During these on-site lessons the teacher and students gather information and practise role play and structure forms of the language
through treasure hunts, interviews, quizzes, games, research and other info tasks based on the site.
THE FAMILY CLUB
Adult members of the family may accompany their junior students to Malta and exploit the offers of NSTS English courses while enjoying a good relaxing holiday. In general timetable hours overlap and class times nearly coincide. The rest of the day is free for family arrangements or to participate in the diverse NSTS included or optional activities. NSTS will provide the most suitable accommodation upon request.

| School Group Programme |

This is NSTS-ELI's core English Langauge course in listening, speaking, reading, writing skills for school groups - a sound speaking component for students who study English at school. Our teachers apply the proven communicative language methodology that encourages students to practice their speaking skills in class and on the leisure, cultural and sports programme Malta.
Optional full-day and half day outings around Malta and Gozo and evening cultural events, activities are offered on request while booking or during the stay at NSTS English Language Institute - Malta. |
The NSTS school-group study weeks programme offers inter-cultural experience programmes that form part of the high school curriculum in many countries. We offer four different programmes which take place during the scholastic year, generally for stays of 1 week. These include:
Project English lessons
Your school teacher chooses a theme upon which our teachers prepare your Project English lessons and research questionnaires for your field-work which helps you speak more confidently. You will develop a project to present to your school friends and family back home.
General English Course and Work Experience in Malta
You will complement your General English Course with a work experience when you will gain useful skills and speak English to customers and workers.
To be accepted at a place of work you must prove to have minimum of pre-intermediate knowledge (A2) of English and be committed to perform well.
Cultural Immersion Programmes
On a cultural immersion into English your teacher will pre-select the historical sites for the day activities away from lessons and teachers.
You will practise English with your animateur as you learn about Malta’s heritage and traditions.
Cultural and Adventure Immersion Programmes
You may substitute someday outings to historical sites on your Cultural Immersion programme by adventure and team building activities.
